Latin American School on Chronobiology and Sleep

The Latin American School on Chronobiology and Sleep 2019 (LASCS 2019) is the first graduate school devoted to Latin American graduate students interested in acquiring knowledge on biological rhythms and sleep. It is timely associated to the XV Latin American Symposium on Chronobiology (LASC 2019), to be held in Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay, in October 2019 (www.LASC2019.org).

The school will consist of two modules. The first one will take place in Montevideo (Uruguay) offering foreign and local faculty lectures as well as hands-on training. In the second module, in Colonia del Sacramento (Uruguay), students will join the XV Latin American Symposium on Chronobiology, having particular academic appointments. Attendance to the Symposium will include a mandatory poster presentation, as well as a presentation in a Data Blitz session (one-minute one-slide oral presentation). In addition to the regular activities of the congress, students of the LASCS will attend the following activities: seven master lectures by international faculty, a “Meet the experts” session, a poster presentation, and the Data Blitz sessions. Students will profit from the interaction with the international chronobiological and sleep research community, in lectures, hands-on training, and special activities designed to foster scientific interactions.

We are doing our best in order to raise funds to cover all the expenses for the selected students (i.e: lodging, travel Montevideo-Colonia, LASC registration, meals in site). We hope to offer our students the best possible experience!

The non-selected students will have the chance to take advantage of the early registration fee for the LASC, closing June 30th.

The LASCS Final Program is avaliable!
